QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education or a relevant field. Additionally, they should hold state teaching certification in Elementary Education. The ideal candidate should demonstrate proficiency in elementary education curriculum standards and instructional strategies. They should also possess strong content knowledge in core subject areas, including English language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies. Prior experience working with elementary students in a classroom setting is required. Furthermore, candidates should have knowledge of assessment techniques and data analysis to inform instruction and track student progress. Effective classroom management skills are essential, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Candidates should be able to collaborate effectively with colleagues, administrators, and parents to support student learning and academic success. Above all, candidates must demonstrate dedication to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.

 

DESCRIPTION

The Elementary School Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to elementary students across multiple subject areas. This role plays a crucial part in fostering academic growth, social development, and lifelong learning skills in students. Additionally, the teacher may collaborate with other educators, attend department meetings, and participate in school-related events and exhibitions as part of their responsibilities.

Work is performed under the direct supervision of the School Principal. 

 

WORK CONDITIONS

The duties are primarily carried out within the school setting. The role involves performing professional tasks that offer support and consultation for the assigned department or program. This work often entails frequent standing, sitting, walking, and light lifting. Certain assignments may have deadlines as they involve customizing and delivering programs to cater to diverse groups' needs. Additionally, employees may be called upon to provide emergency and non-emergency health-related services for students as required.
